How to sell a car on your own?

Selling a car on your own is interesting mainly in terms of higher earnings. The buyer usually has a certain budget in which he searches for his new car. And it is actually up to you whether you can offer your car in an interesting way and then sell it for the price that the customer would pay for the same car in a second-hand car dealership. And this difference between the purchase price and the selling price is your bonus.

Bringing your car to the nearest car dealership is the easiest and fastest way to sell your old car. You have to take into account that the main goal when buying your car will be to get the purchase price as low as possible. The car dealership will then add its margin to this purchase price, which can be in the tens or hundreds of thousands, and sell the car to customers at this higher price. Your goal is to sell your car at this higher price and not at the purchase price. Place of sale

You should inspect and possibly sell the car make an appointment in advance, preferably in a public place. Good places are, for example, shopping mall parking lots, gas stations, and in fact any place where there are a large number of people, and preferably with a camera system. It is also a good idea to ask in advance whether the interested party will be alone or if they will have a partner. There is no worse situation than when the buyer has psychological superiority, pushing you into an uncomfortable and disadvantageous position for you. In this case, it is better if your negotiating position is the same as the buyer's. After all, you will be meeting a person you have never seen and you do not know in advance what his intentions are.

Registration check

A registration check is actually a verification of the data in the technical certificate. The inspector will verify whether all the data that you currently have entered in the technical certificate matches the vehicle being sold. A registration check can be arranged by both the buyer and the seller, and this can be done 30 days before the sale itself. It is therefore best if the seller arranges this check before the sale and before signing the purchase contract.

Purchase agreement

Drawing up a purchase contract is an important step when selling a car. It is actually a written confirmation of what you and the buyer agreed on verbally in advance. The purchase contract will also serve you well in the future in case of any misunderstandings. Each purchase contract should contain the identification of the seller and the buyer. This means that their full names, permanent residences, and possibly ID card numbers should be stated. The subject of the contract and mutual rights and obligations are also specified. We must not forget the date of conclusion of the contract and the signatures of both parties. In addition to the subject of sale, in this case a car, the purchase contract must also contain its purchase price and the conditions under which the seller will transfer the subject of sale to the buyer for payment. In the purchase contract, we will also focus on describing the car being sold as accurately as possible. The make of the vehicle and its type, color, year of manufacture, license plate, etc. must be stated. The next step must be a detailed description of the current condition of the vehicle. The seller will describe all the defects and faults that are currently present on the car. This part is very important, as the seller is responsible for all hidden defects on the car being sold for the next six months.
