Skoda has revealed the Scala and Kamiq models after the facelift.

The Mladá Boleslav-based automaker recently introduced updated versions of both its compact models – the Scala and Kamiq. This update focused on improving the design of the front exterior.

The Scala and Kamiq, two closely related Škoda models, have undergone changes that most significantly affect their front design. The Scala has received bright LED Matrix headlights that give it a bold look and can optimize the illumination of surrounding traffic in distant modes. The radiator grille and front bumper have also been redesigned to sound sharper.

The front of the Kamiq has undergone a similar upgrade with new LED headlights and distinct design elements, including distinctive L-shaped reflectors in the rear bumper.

The automaker has also focused on improving the aerodynamics of both models, equipping them with new aerodynamic wheel rims inspired by the latest Škoda vehicles. In addition, it has added a Monte Carlo version with elegant black accessories and a standard lowered suspension, giving the car a sporty look.

The interior of the cars has undergone only minimal changes, but features new materials including seat covers, including eco-friendly elements such as hemp and kenaf, as well as recycled fabrics.

The standard infotainment system with an 8.25-inch display is the only one equipped with a pair of rotary controls, the larger 9.2-inch system is fully touch-sensitive and, just like before the modernization, you can control most of the car's functions from it.

The basic equipment of the Škoda Scala is an 8-inch digital instrument panel, and you can have an improved 10.25-inch one as an extra cost.

In addition, there are four USB-C connectors with a power output of 45 W for fast charging of mobile devices or laptops. The electrically operated tailgate can now be opened easily and conveniently with a movement of the foot.

The engine range remains with three TSI units from the evo2 generation. The base engine is the three-cylinder 1.0 TSI with 70 kW (95 hp), which is combined with a five-speed manual transmission. The 85 kW (115 hp) version is available with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. The most powerful four-cylinder 1.5 TSI with 110 kW (150 hp) is also available with both transmission types. The diesel engine was removed from the range in 2020.

The automaker has not yet published the price list of the upgraded versions.

Since the Scala was first introduced in showrooms in 2019, and the subsequent market launch of the Kamiq, almost 230,000 units have been delivered to customers in 57 markets worldwide. As the third SUV model in the brand's offensive, the Kamiq quickly became a bestseller, with more than 351,000 vehicles produced to date and now distributed in 60 markets worldwide.
